Privacy Policy

Last updated: 10/21/2026

This policy explains what personal information SAFE Allergy Travel, LLC collects through safeallergytravel.com, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

Information you give us. When you use our Contact form, we collect your name, email address, destination and accommodations, travel dates, who is traveling (including children's ages), the food allergies and cross-contact concerns you describe, other dietary needs in your party, and anything you choose to tell us about your trip.

When you submit a review, we collect your name, email address, the text of your review, and your choice of how your name should appear.

When you sign a Customer Agreement, we collect your typed legal name, the date and time of signing, the trip the agreement covers, and your email address, where we send you a signed copy.

When you email or call us, we keep what you send us and the details of your conversation with us.

Allergy and health-related information. Information about food allergies is health-related. We collect it only so we can research and plan your trip, and we use it for nothing else. Please share only what is needed for your trip. We are not a HIPAA Covered Entity, as that term is defined by U.S. law, and information you provide to us is not considered Protected Health Information under HIPAA. Do not send medical records, insurance numbers, or government ID numbers through our forms or by email.

Payment information. Payments are handled by Stripe. We do not see or store your full card number.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our site and hosting provider log technical details such as your IP address, browser type, device, and the pages you visit. If you accept analytics cookies, additional information is collected as described in the Cookies section below.

How we use it

We use your information to:

  • Reply to your inquiry and review whether we can help with your trip.
  • Provide the services you purchase, including consultations, research, restaurant outreach, and your personalized travel guide.
  • Prepare and send your Customer Agreement, process your payment, and send you your signed copy and receipts.
  • Publish your review, if you give us permission (see Reviews and testimonials).
  • Keep the website secure, prevent spam, and understand how the site is used, if you accept analytics cookies.
  • Meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations.

We do not use your information to send marketing email unless you ask us to.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as follows:

  • Service providers. Companies that help us run the business, such as our website host, email provider, form tools, and Stripe for payments. They may use your information only to provide their services to us. Stripe's handling of payment data is described in Stripe's privacy policy.
  • Restaurants and hospitality providers. When we contact restaurants, chefs, hotels, and similar businesses on your behalf, we share only the allergy and dietary details needed to ask our questions. We do not share your name or contact details unless you ask us to.
  • Professional advisors. Our attorney, accountant, or insurer, when needed to protect the business or comply with the law.
  • Legal requirements. When the law requires it, or to protect our rights, safety, or property.
  • Business transfer. If the business is sold or reorganized, your information may transfer to the new owner under this policy.

Cookies

Cookies are small files a website saves in your browser. When you first visit, our cookie banner asks which categories you accept.

  • Necessary cookies keep the site working, remember your cookie choice, and protect forms from spam. These are always on.
  • Analytics and other optional cookies are set only if you accept them. You can decline them and still use every part of the site.

To change your choice at any time, use the cookie settings link in the site footer, or clear the cookies for this site in your browser. Our cookie banner lists each cookie in use and its purpose.

Reviews and testimonials

We publish a review only with your permission. When you submit one, you choose whether your name appears in full or as your first name and last initial, and you confirm the following:

I give SAFE Allergy Travel, LLC permission to publish my review, with my name displayed as selected above, on its website and social media. I give SAFE Allergy Travel, LLC permission to correct any spelling or typographical errors in publishing my review. I reserve the right to withdraw permission to use my review at any time.

To withdraw permission, email michelle@safeallergytravel.com. We will remove your review from our website and our social media accounts going forward. We cannot always remove copies that others have already shared or that search engines have stored.

How long we keep it and how we protect it

We keep inquiry information long enough to respond and decide whether we can help. If you become a client, we keep your agreement and guide for up to two (2) years, and transaction records for up to seven (7) years; or, for as long as needed for our business, tax, and legal records. We keep a published review until you withdraw permission. We do not retain payment methods, which are maintained by our payment service provider, Stripe. When we no longer need information, we delete it or make it anonymous.

We use reasonable safeguards, including password-protected accounts, encrypted connections (HTTPS), and limited access to client information. No website or email system is completely secure, so please avoid sending sensitive documents by email.

Your choices and rights

You may ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. To make a request, email michelle@safeallergytravel.com. We may need to confirm your identity first, and we may keep information we are required to keep for legal, tax, or security reasons. We will respond within a reasonable time.

You can also decline optional cookies through our cookie banner, and withdraw permission for a published review at any time.

Children. Our website is intended for parents and adults. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children under 13. Parents may tell us about their children's allergies, ages, and travel plans so we can plan a trip. We use that information only for that purpose, and it is not sold or used for targeted advertising.

Visitors outside the United States. SAFE Allergy Travel, LLC is based in Kentucky, and information you submit is processed and stored in the United States. By using the site, you understand your information will be transferred there.

Changes to this policy and contact

We may update this policy as our services or the law change. The date at the top shows when it was last updated. This policy covers our website; the terms of your purchase are in your Customer Agreement.
